The Biography - Giuseppe Consolo
He was borne in Naples the 6th of September 1948. He is the son of an Italian Navy Official.
He attended the Giuseppe Gioacchino Belli middle school (middle school of the Mamiani High School) in Rome, the S. Giuseppe Calasanzio Gymnasium in Rome (1961-1962). He attended the the Collegio Navale F. Morosini (1963-1966) where he achieved the classic diploma.
He graduated in Law during 1970, with 100/100 cum laude at the Catania University.
He became lawyer in 1974, he is the founder of one of the main Italian Law Firm.
After the Winning the National Academic Concourse, he is currently Associated Professor of Constitutional Law II at Luiss Guido Carli University.
He was member of the Italian Senate since 2001.
He was member of the II Permanent Commission (Justice).
He was member of the Permanent Committee for the prosecution proceedings.
He was member of the Telekom Serbia Affair Parliament Commission.
He was head of AN Party in the Commission for Election and Parliamentary Immunity.
He was member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies since 2006.
He was member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Electoral Commission, of the Permanent Committee for incompatibility and of the Justice Commission.
The 18th January 2006 the Gazzetta Ufficiale of the Italian Republic published the law 09/01/2006 n.7 also known as Consolo’s Law, related to the “Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation”.
Member of the Order of Journalist since 1975, he has cooperate with important Italian newspapers such as Corriere della Sera, Il Giornale, Il Messaggero, Il Secolo d’Italia, Il Tempo.
Since 2nd of June 1992 he is Grand Officer of the Italian Republic.

Ideator and conductor of the tv show “Dentro la Giustizia” broadcasted by Rai Uno during 1989-1991, whose topic were the problems of the Italian justice.
